The objectives of the Society are to foster, promote and develop an interest in Derbyshire County Cricket Club, with an emphasis on youth cricket. To achieve these objectives we hold Speaker Evenings during the winter. We usually hold six meetings a season, starting at the end of September and going through to our AGM in April.
During the season we hold meetings at the following venues, Whaley Bridge Bowling Club [website] and New Mills Golf Club [website].
The format of our meetings remains the same and has proven to be popular with our members. We start our evening with a talk by our Guest Speaker, we then break for a buffet supper for approximately 30 minutes. The second half of the evening is a question and answer session.
Membership Fees
Our membership fee is £30.00 per annum (single membership or per couple) and is due on 1st April. Guests are welcome for a fee of £2.00 providing the meeting concerned is not over subscribed. Please check availability with the Secretary before the meeting. Our membership is around 80.
